There are currently 15 Anvil of Bogardan combos listed on our site. I couldn't dig up much lore about the set design, so let's just get into some cards. Anvil of Bogardan (Visions) Magic The Gathering Combos Utilizing Anvil of Bogardan. Thankfully, we get at least two new creatures types in Chimera and Jellyfish, although "new" types like Caterpillar, Nekrataal, and Warthog were eventually changed via errata. We get returning ones like cumulative upkeep, world enchantments, and a few others though. This set has some heavy hitters on the Reserved List, and with most of the cards that were reprinted having cheaper printings, I mostly have reprinted versions of original Visions cards. You do not draw two cards and then discard two cards. This means that you first draw one card and discard one card, and then do it again. If there are two Anvils on the battlefield, they trigger and resolve separately. Sure, I own some reprinted cards from it, but in my entire collection you won't find a single V set symbol. The triggered ability is put onto the stack after you have already drawn your card for the turn. Somehow, Visions is the first set that I don't own any cards from. Released in early 1997, this set continues the story started in the previous set, Mirage. Today's focus is Visions, the tenth expansion set of Magic. At the beginning of each players draw step, that player draws an additional card, then discards a card.
